Ziegler CAT has an opening for a full-time Sr. Compensation Analyst responsible for supporting or leading the development, implementation and administration of compensation programs that help attract, engage, and retain our valued employees.  These include incentive programs, base pay programs and contract and non-contractual wage scales.  We are looking for a candidate with proven problem solving and analytical skills, along with the ability to collaborate, educate, and coach our supervisors and managers on compensation programs and best practices.


  • Partner with other members of the HR team as a subject matter expert to resolve issues and provide solutions to include conducting analysis and modeling business specific compensation designs or data
  • Identify and make recommendations to compensation plans/programs that are cost-effective,  consistent with compensation trends in the market place, and align with corporate objectives
  • Review and calculate commission amounts payable on a monthly, quarterly, and year-end basis
  • Conduct job evaluations to determine job title, grade, and FLSA status
  • Participate in salary surveys and update and maintain market pricing tool
  • Collaborate with business unit management in the developing, updating, and modeling of annual incentive compensation plans, including presentation to business unit leadership
  • Review, counsel, and collaborate with business unit management regarding compensation processes and specific compensation change proposals
  • Work in a cooperative manner with HR team and business unit leadership
  • Respond to management and employee inquiries regarding compensation related matters in a timely manner


  • 4 Year College degree or equivalent experience strongly preferred; High School diploma or GED required
  • CCP certification preferred
  • 5 – 8 years of work experience in the compensation discipline, or related experience in HR, Finance, or Business Sales Operations experience required
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products to be used to develop analysis, charts or other supporting documentation
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational multi-tasking skills
  • Experience with HR Information System (HRIS) required – Workday experience preferred
