As a Compensation Analyst, you will:

  • Administer and support enterprise wide compensation related activities
  • Ensure the compensation philosophy for the organization is in play and administered consistently 
  • Create and maintain all documentation related to training leaders on pay changes, processes and procedures
  • Assist the recruitment team in recommending new hire offers for employment at Hazelden Betty Ford
  • Conduct job analysis for multiple positions within the organization and make grade recommendations
  • Ensure compliance as it relates to federal, state and local compensation laws
  • Manage and execute participation in annual salary surveys
  • Assess market to ensure that pay is kept competitive including creating proposals and making recomendations when necessary
  • Provide oversight and execution to the overall annual focal compensation process
  • Partner with leaders to create incentive pay programs including plan documents
  • Function with in the HRIS as a SME relating to approvals for pay increases and set up of new jobs and pay ranges

The compensation analyst is responsible for managing the compensation function for the organization. In partnership with the Senior Manager HR Operations, the compensation analyst plans, develops and administers new and revised compensation programs, policies and procedures in order to be responsive to the company's goals and competitive pay practices. This position is also responsible for assuring thorough audits, reports and interaction with leaders that company compensation programs are consistently administered in compliance with company policies and government regulations.



  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or relevant field
  • Minimum 1-2 years of progressive compensation experience including projects or daily operational activities
  • Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state regulations as they apply to compensation and incentive programs


  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or in process
  • Experience working in healthcare or nonprofit organization
